“The new schedule will make IFAT Munich even more efficient,” says Stefan Rummel, CEO of Messe München. “At the same time, we will conserve the resources of our exhibitors and visitors. We have taken the upcoming anniversary in 2026—60 years of IFAT Munich—as an opportunity to optimize processes and have adjusted the length of the trade fair in light of this. The magnificent growth of IFAT Munich over the past decades is the direct result of the partnership-based dialogue that we conduct with many industry players and our ability to react flexibly to new developments. We will maintain this successful model in the future.”
In 2026, IFAT Munich will also have a new name. The world’s leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management will now be called IFAT Munich: Solutions for Water, Recycling and Circularity. This name underscores the trade fair’s role as a platform where the world’s leading and most innovative companies and agenda setters come together to present solutions in the fields of water, recycling and the circular economy.
